Using the site
By using WiseConsumer you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the site. We may change the terms; the effective date above tells you when they last changed, and continued use after a change means you accept it.
What our content is
Reviews, scores, guides and listings are our editorial opinion, based on the testing described on the how we test page and on information from manufacturers and retailers. We try hard to be accurate, but products change, prices move, and we can be wrong. Nothing on the site is professional medical, financial, legal or safety advice. Check the retailer's page before you buy, and consult a professional where the purchase warrants it.
We are not the store
Shop links take you to third-party retailers. Your purchase, delivery, returns and any dispute are between you and that retailer, under its terms. We may earn a commission on some links; the disclosure page explains how, and why it does not move a score.
Reader reviews and other things you send us
When you submit a review, suggestion or other content, you keep ownership of it and give us a worldwide, royalty-free, perpetual license to publish, edit for length or clarity, and display it on the site and in our materials. You confirm it is your own honest experience, that you are not being paid or directed by the brand or a competitor, and that it contains nothing unlawful, defamatory or infringing. We read reviews before publishing and may decline or remove any submission without explanation.
Acceptable use
- Do not scrape, copy or republish substantial parts of the site without written permission.
- Do not submit fake reviews, impersonate anyone, or interfere with the site's operation or security.
- Do not use automated tools to submit forms or follow shop links.
Intellectual property
The site's text, photographs we took, scoring rubrics and design belong to WiseConsumer or our licensors. Product images and logos belong to their brands and are used to identify the products being discussed. If you own a mark or image shown here and want it removed or credited differently, write to hello@wiseconsumer.com.
Warranties and liability
The site is provided as is. To the fullest extent the law allows, we make no warranties about the site or its content, and we are not liable for any loss arising from your use of it or from any product you buy after reading it. Where liability cannot be excluded, it is limited to the amount you paid us, which is nothing.
Brand partners
Brands that open a partner account, claim a listing, or fund a test agree to the additional terms shown when they sign up. Nothing a brand pays for changes a published score; see the disclosure page.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the United States and of the state where WiseConsumer is organized, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. Any dispute will be brought in the courts of that state.
