Our verdict
The Saatva Classic is the most durable mattress we have put through our compression rig — under 1% height loss where the category average is over 3% — and its edge support is in a class of its own. You pay for that: it costs roughly twice the category median, and the innerspring construction transfers more motion than foam.

Questions readers ask
- Which firmness should I pick?
- Luxury Firm suited most of our panel. Strict side sleepers should look at Plush Soft; stomach sleepers at Firm.
- Is white-glove delivery really free?
- Yes, including removal of your old mattress. It is the only bed we tested that does not arrive compressed in a box.
